Edward Hopper: Into the Light

(Yale University Press, 2026).

I am working on a major new biography of the American artist Edward Hopper (1882-1967).

This will be the first Edward Hopper biography in 30 years and only the second full biography ever published on the artist. It comes out of almost a decade’s worth of research on the artist, with access to extensive, hitherto unpublished archives of biographical material on the artist and a wealth of other newly uncovered sources.

Edward Hopper: Into the Light will be published by Yale University Press in the latter half of 2026.
